Shopify Competitor Teardown
See what competitors do better, with a clear £49 Shopify teardown.
A written, plain-English comparison of your store with 1–3 competitors. It covers positioning, offers, trust signals and mobile UX, and ends with five fixes ranked by likely impact against effort. We only review public pages, and delivery is within 2 working days.
Who it's for
A good fit if…
- You run a UK Shopify or independent online store
- You have traffic, but sales or order values feel lower than they should
- You want an honest outside view before paying a developer or agency
- You'd like concrete copy and layout suggestions, not jargon
Probably not for you if…
- You need a technical speed or code audit with analytics access
- You want someone to implement the changes (this is a written teardown)
- You need guaranteed revenue results
- You haven't launched yet (we'd suggest waiting until you have)
What's included
Homepage and positioning
How clear your offer is above the fold, how well it fits your audience, and how your value proposition compares with 1–3 competitors.
Offers and merchandising
Hero offer, bundles, pricing and shipping clarity, and whether any urgency you use is honest.
Trust signals
Reviews, policies, about page, payment options and any gaps in social proof.
Mobile and UX notes
First impressions on a phone, navigation friction, and checkout cues from public pages.
5 priority fixes
Ranked by likely impact against effort, each with the reason and a concrete copy or layout suggestion.
How each priority fix is written
Example format, not a real store| # | Finding | Why it matters | Suggested fix | Impact / effort |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shipping cost is first shown at checkout | Surprise costs are one of the most common reasons people abandon a basket | Add a one-line shipping promise under the price on product pages, e.g. "Free UK delivery over £40 · 2–3 days" | High Low |
| 2 | Hero headline describes the brand, not the product | First-time visitors can't tell what you sell within 5 seconds | Lead with the product and outcome, and move the brand story further down | High Low |

Frequently asked
Do you need access to my store?
No. We only look at public pages, the same pages your customers see. You never share a login.
Is this only for Shopify?
It's written with Shopify in mind, but WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix and other public storefronts work too. Just mention it in your order email.
Will you make the changes?
No. This is a written teardown. The priority-fix table is written so that you or your developer can act on it straight away.
How do you choose competitors?
If you name them, we use yours. If you don't, we pick 1–3 stores selling similar products to a similar UK audience and confirm them with you first.
Is AI used?
Yes, to summarise pages and draft sections. A person does the comparison, scoring and ranking, and checks everything before delivery.
